Former EFCC Chairman Abdulrasheed Bawa has been officially released, as announced by the Department of State Services (DSS).
The DSS’s Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications, Dr. Peter Afunanya, issued a statement on Thursday in Abuja confirming Bawa’s release.
The former head of the EFCC was released on Wednesday night, he added, though he did not specify the terms of the settlement.
In a statement released on October 25, he claimed, “DSS confirms release of former EFCC chairman Abdulrasheed, Bawa a few hours ago.”
The ex-head of the EFCC has been in DSS custody since June 14, when the Federal Government suspended him, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
