President Bola Tinubu officially signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law on Wednesday.
The bill aims to restore the previous anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, revealed this information during the joint plenary that Tinubu was present at.
The bill’s final approval will lead to a transition from the current national anthem, “Arise O Compatriots.”
Both the Senate and the House of Representatives swiftly approved the bill.
