Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson predicts the team will defeat Tottenham Hotspur in their Sunday North London Derby.
Should the Gunners defeat their opponents, they will have an opportunity to increase their lead at the top of the Premier League.
Speaking with Sky Sports, Merson said Mikel Arteta has better players than Spurs.
Tottenham will play gung-ho football, essentially saying you have a shot and then we have a shot, so I expect Arsenal to win this game.
Arsenal has superior players than Tottenham; thus, that won’t work against them. They will win the football match because they are a better squad and a stronger unit.
Given how Tottenham prefers to play, I can only see an Arsenal victory.
“We’ll see who can score more goals,” they simply declare as they start the game. Being up against Arsenal, a vastly better football team, will make it extremely difficult.
