How to manage every day stress

Sometimes you’re overloaded. Job, family, and other commitments can be demanding. However, not relaxing may harm your mind and body. Managing stress takes effort, but you can do the following:

  1. Exercise
Regular exercise is a great way to unwind. Exercising boosts mood. It works best when done frequently.
  2. Practice taking long breaths: Taking a few long breaths can immediately relieve stress. You’ll be amazed at how much better you feel once you master it.
  3. Eat well: Regular, well-balanced eating improves overall health. It may also regulate moods. For energy, eat veggies, fruit, whole grains, and lean protein. Skip none. It can make you feel bad and raise stress.
  4. Relax: Modern life is hectic, so sometimes we need to relax.
To relax your head, schedule some downtime. This may be difficult for goal-setters. Meditation\sYoga, Tai-chi, music, etc are ways to relax.
    5: Cut yourself some slack
Accept that you’ll never be ideal. Life is beyond your control. Don’t overestimate your abilities.
  5. Identify your largest stressors. Work, travel, or school? Identify them and try to eliminate or lessen them.
Keeping a stress journal may help you pinpoint your main stressors. If you can spot a pattern, remove or reduce your anxiety triggers.
