Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, has proposed to his long-term girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez.
According to sources close to the couple, they made the major step while traveling across Europe in the billionaire’s superyacht dubbed Koru, according to Page Six.
The two were most recently seen at the Cannes Film Festival, when Apple Original Films’ “Killers of the Flower Moon” premiered.
Sánchez, an Emmy Award-winning journalist, was also photographed wearing an engagement ring while cruising on Koru on Sunday.
After Bezos’ divorce from ex-wife Mackenzie Scott was finalized in 2019, the couple’s romance became public. The former couple had four children and had been married for 25 years.
The former TV host had recently divorced her spouse of 13 years, Patrick Whitesell, with whom she has two children, at the time their relationship became public. Sánchez has another son from a prior relationship with Tony Gonzalez, a former American football player.
After stepping down as CEO of Amazon in 2021, Bezos focused on environmental protection. The couple is currently co-chairing the Bezos Earth Fund, a climate change initiative.
