Anthony Joshua will face Daniel Dubois for the IBF world heavyweight title on September 21 at Wembley Stadium, following Oleksandr Usyk’s announcement that he would be abandoning the crown.

Dubois is the IBF’s mandatory challenger, and he will face Joshua on Wednesday.

Usyk, 37, became the first heavyweight to hold the IBF, WBO, WBA, and WBC championships after defeating Tyson Fury in a split decision in Saudi Arabia last month.

Anthony and Daniel, please listen. I understand the IBF championship is significant to you. “It’s my gift to you on September 21,” Usyk said in a video broadcast on social media Tuesday.

Before Usyk, Britain’s Lennox Lewis was the last heavyweight to unify all three major belts in 1999.

Two-time world champion Joshua, 34, has 28 wins and three losses in his career, while Dubois, 28, has won 21 of his 23 fights.
