Olamide, MI and others pay tribute to the late singer Mobad

Omawunmi, Olamide, MI, and other celebrities have reacted to the loss of Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, a Nigerian rapper, musician, and composer who died on Tuesday at the age of 27.

Mohbad’s death was confirmed by celebs on their various social media accounts.

Mohbad was previously signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” but left the label in 2022.

He was well-known for his collaborations with Rexxie on popular tunes such as “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke).”

Olamide, a multiple award-winning rapper, reacted to the news of Mohbad’s death on his social networking platform, X, formerly known as Twitter.

The musician shared his heartbreak in a simple post titled “Damn! Mohbad.”

Small Doctor, a popular afro-pop performer, commented on his Instagram page, “That future you’re planning so hard, you fit no see am.” Imole, Imole, Imole. Until we meet again."

MI Abaga, a Chocolate City rapper and music entrepreneur, also turned to social media to respond to the death of the young and talented musician.

MI, who first expressed shock over the news of Mohbad’s death, wrote, “RIP Mohbad.”

Reminisce, a rapper and actor who just collaborated with Mohbad and highlighted him as one of the musicians on his upcoming project, sent a simple message that stated, “Imole!”

“OMG, I love this boy, rest on Mohbad,” singer Oritsefemi added. “This one bothers me, brother.”

“AHHH this life no balance ooooo!” singer Omawunmi added. Mohbad!!! Na lie!".
