Monday night on the red carpet at the Met Gala in New York, retired tennis superstar Serena Williams revealed that she is pregnant with her second child.
“I was ecstatic when Anna Wintour invited the three of us to the Met Gala,” Williams wrote on Instagram prior to her arrival at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a black and white gown for fashion’s largest night.
In the photographs, the 41-year-old tennis star poses with her husband Alexis Ohanian, the founder of Reddit, while holding her baby belly.
The event, which is held annually on the first Monday of May, had the theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” in 2023 to honor the 2019-deceased fashion designer.
