The Federal High Court reassigns judges

Tuesday, Justice John Tsoho, the Chief Judge (CJ) of the Federal High Court, approved the redeployment of 94 judges to various divisions of the Federal High Court throughout the nation.

According to CJ, the deadline for the presumption in the new posting is January 8, 2024.

The objective of the redeployment was to enhance personnel capacity and streamline the allocation of judicial officers after the recent installation of 23 additional Federal High Court judges.

The positions were transferred, according to a statement from the office of Justice Tsoho, which cited “the appointment of 23 new judges and other imperatives.”

The relocation of Federal High Court judges has had a significant impact on several prominent locations, namely Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin, and Kano.

“All judges impacted by this assignment are kindly requested to report to their designated duty stations before the resumption date of January 8, 2024, which is the day following the 2023 Christmas break.”

The judicial division postings are as follows: Abuja Justice J.T Tsoho – Chief Judge, Justice G.Kolotu, Justice B.F.M. Nyako, Justice R.N. Ofili- Ajumogobia, Justice A.R Mohammed, Justice Ieekwo, Justice D.Uokorowo, Justice Joyce Obehi Abdulmalik, Justice James Kolawale Omotosho, Justice Emeka Nwite, Justice Obiora Atuegwu Egwuatu, Justice Mobolaji Olubukola Olajuwon, and Justice Nkeonye Evelyn Mана.

Umuahia, Abia – Justice Sunday Onu and Justice Musa Kακακι.

Yenagoa, Bayelsa – Justice Isa Hamma Adama Dashen and Justice Salim Olasupo Ibrahim.

“All the judges affected by this posting should report at their duty stations before the date of resumption from the 2023 Christmas vacation, being the 8th day of January 2024.”
