The Federal Government has designated Friday, April 7, and Monday, April 10, 2023 as holidays to commemorate Easter in 2023.
Wednesday in Abuja, Minister of the Interior Rauf Aregbesola made this announcement.
According to Aregbesola, in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Shuaib Begore, on Wednesday, he urged Christians to emulate the virtues of sacrifice, togetherness, forgiveness, kindness, love, peace, and patience exemplified by the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
The minister urged Christians and all Nigerians to use this year’s Easter celebration to pray for an end to the country’s security problems in certain regions.
