The open European stock markets tumble

At the start of Tuesday’s trading session, Europe’s main stock markets experienced a slight decline. Investors are closely monitoring the evolving political situations in France and Britain, while also anticipating the upcoming testimony from Federal Reserve chief Jerome Powell.

The FTSE 100 index in London experienced a slight decline of 0.2%, reaching a value of 8,177.71 points.

In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 index experienced a slight decline of 0.4 per cent, settling at 7,594.16 points, while Frankfurt’s DAX saw a 0.5 per cent drop, closing at 18,379.03.
